SSI ADVANCED NITROX
Your first step to technical diving. Basically you are using the same equipment as required for decompression diving, but to a lesser extent. The main objective is to optimize breathing gasses for longer dives within no-decompression limits. The choice of breathing gasses ranges from air or Nitrox to highly oxygen enriched mixes and 100% oxygen. This is to improve your own safety for dive profiles you already might be familiar with.
Usage of a stage tank or pony bottle for decompression.
Application: Ideally for divers who like to extend their bottom time within no-decompression limits also in the 30m depth range, with sufficient breathing gas reserves for a safe ascent.
SSI TECHNICAL FOUNDATIONS
This course is literally what it means, the very foundation to technical diving and further education. The main objective is to optimize breathing gasses for longer dives, within and beyond no-decompression limits, and the answer to the question, why one breathing gas is not enough in some cases. An in-depth discussion about physiological aspects, principles of inert gas absorption and elimination and the knowledge about the required dive equipment and dive planning, to improve your safety when performing decompression dives.
Usage of EAN50 as a decompression gas.
Application: Divers who enjoy the 40m depth range will learn the required skills and procedures to perform decompression dives with the necessary safety.
SSI DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES
A specified and advanced discussion about decompression theory and dive planning for dives with multiple decompression stops. The gas planning, hand signals and further aspects about the necessary procedures and risk management will be refined.
Usage of EAN50 as a decompression gas.
Application: A more profound knowledge about physiological processes within the human body, which will make every responsible diver think about their own diving behaviour. An active contribution to safety on all dives.
SSI NORMOXIC TRIMIX
For greater depths you need to optimize your breathing gas in a different way, which requires the addition of helium to minimize risk, and to make sure you will be able to think and act with a clear mind, in order to put neither yourself nor other divers at risk. The necessary procedures for the gas planning with a breathing gas that consists of mainly three gasses, will be refined.
Usage of EAN50 as a decompression gas.
Application: Each and every diver who likes to dive deep, should do this with a clear mind. Helium helps.
SSI ADVANCED DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES
This course focusses on further decompression strategies, regardless if air, optimized Nitrox or Normoxic Trimix will be your bottom gas. The efficiency of decompression will be improved by using a second decompression gas.
Usage of two breathing gasses, EAN50 and EAN80 or oxygen as decompression gasses.
Anwendung: Optimizing the elimination of inert gas after long and deep explorations. Generally also recommended to minimize the risk of decompression sickness.
