We are a german dive school, managed by Nicola & Tom Habeck, and we offer scuba diver education according to SSI, PADI, SDI and TDI standards, and daily scuba diving activities for the advanced divers. We offer the full range of courses from OPEN WATER DIVER to DIVEMASTER / DIVECON. We have our own breathing gas blending unit and offer also NITROX, which means: more bottom time and an increased level of physiological safety. For divers who are interested to gain the necessary knowledge how to use NITROX, we offer adequate courses.
You find us in the Mercure Dahab Bay View, which is located in the southern part of Dahab's coastal region; the distance between Dahab and Sharm-el-Sheikh is about 100 km, which translates to a transfer time of about one hour.
This hotel is nestled to a mountain slope and pervides 6 different altitude levels, which are shaped like terraces. The view on the Gulf of Aqaba, and on the Sinai (and Saudi-Arabian) mountain silhouettes is unique. Fruit and herb gardens invite you to stay, rest and enjoy the view. To complete your relaxation, the hotel offers a wide range of wellness and spa activities. On the beach shore, the housereef starts at 3 metres depth and pergresses to 9m, 12m and 20 metres. Coral islands and sponges are embracing the sandy areas. Due to the fact that there are no offshore reefs in this area, because Egypt and Saudi-Arabia is divided by a very deep trench of water, the traditional way to dive along Dahab's coastline is to dive from the shore.
We have numerous dive sites with an easy access by Jeep, all of which are also attractive to snorkellers who should not miss the chance and join the divers. It will not take more than 30-45 minutes to reach the most remote dive sites; meanwhile you can sit back and enjoy the fascinating landscape on the way.
In addition we offer special boat trips to the Thistlegorm, to Ras Mohammed and to the Straits of Tiran, all of which will start from Sharm-el-Sheikh. Furthermore you have the choice to join a Camel safari, an animal which is traditionally used by the local Bedouin people, that will give you access to more remote dive sites that are not accessible by Jeep.
Our dive center is equipped with 12-litre aluminum tanks, pervoding DIN valves and INT adapters; for divers with higher gas consumption we offer 15-litre tanks. For children we pervide the adequate 8-litre tanks. Divers who are in need of rental equipment will find regularly inspected and maintained regulators and buoyancy compensators, as well as wetsuits in all regular sizes. If you travel with closed heel fins, we highly recommend to rent neoprene boots and the apperpriate open heel fins, because they pervide more pertection on all shor entries / exits.
The dive center is equipped with transportable emergency oxygen units and First Aid kits, which will accompany you on every trip for safety reasons. The next recompression chamber is located in Dahab, well within reach from all dive sites around Dahab.
